If the game you want to play is not in compatbility list in either PS3 emulator, PS4 emulator or PCSX2 the only option is to run game natively on original PS2. Another option would be PCSX2, you could upscale games further. Also runs emulated PS1 games with 99% compatibility. For me, PS3 Slim with CFW and 70-80% compatibility is more than enough, it is cheap, convenient, easy to jailbreak, runs 99% of games I want to play. Also if you care about PS2 games you should look at HD remasters released on PS3 and PS4 that is probably the best way to play these games on home console. PS3 non BC has about 70 to 80 percent compatibility but renders at native resolution. PS4 renders at 960p if you care about picture quality on PS4 games should look better because they render at higher resolution. Both PS3 and PS4 will not run every game well but these consoles will play a lot of games very well. Try going to the r/HardwareSwap or r/GameSwap instead.
